New data shows the value of exports has continued to grow by more than 20 per cent despite the impact of the global downturn.
Nationally exports jumped by more than 22 per cent to $284 billion last year compared with the previous financial year.
Western Australia led the way with exports rising more than 24 per cent on the back of high prices for iron ore and gold.

But Queensland, which surged ahead of New South Wales in the rankings, had the largest increase of 48.3 per cent.
Tasmania and South Australia were the only states not to record increases in the same period.
