What the new Nine-Fairfax will look like

The $2.2 billion merger of Nine and Fairfax will reach more than half of Australia each day across television, online, print and radio.

WHAT NINE AND FAIRFAX WILL LOOK LIKE AFTER THEIR $2.2 BILLION MERGER

BROADCAST

* Nine's television network includes four free-to-air channels as well as streaming and on-demand video platform 9Now

NEWS

* Fairfax newspapers The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Australian Financial Review, as well as websites BrisbaneTimes.com.au and WAToday.com

* Fairfax lifestyle publications Drive, Good Weekend, Good Food, Essential Baby, Essential Kids and Traveller magazine

* 160 regional Fairfax publications and community websites including The Canberra Times, The Newcastle Herald, The Examiner, The Border Mail, The Courier and The Illawarra Mercury

* Nine operates a slew of websites including 9News, 9Pickle, 9Finance and lifestyle network 9Honey

RADIO

* Fairfax Media has a majority share in Macquarie Media, which operates commercial radio stations 2GB and 3AW, as well as other news, talk and sports radio stations across Australia.

REAL ESTATE

* Fairfax owns a 60 per cent stake in real estate website Domain, which has worked with Nine TV show The Block since 2015

ENTERTAINMENT

* Stan - a subscription video-on-demand service jointly owned by Nine and Fairfax

* Fairfax Events runs popular food, art and sporting events including City2Surf fun runs

* Future Women, a subscription site aimed at professional women, was launched by Nine in 2018

REACH

* The single media entity - to be known as Nine - will reach more than half of Australia every day
