WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT MELBOURNE'S FACTORY BLAZE

* SKM Recycling in Coolaroo, 19km north of Melbourne's CBD, has been burning since it caught fire on Thursday morning

* It came after major blazes in February and June, and a smaller fire on Wednesday night

* The factory was due for an inspection over its fire management practices on Thursday

* Upfield train station and more than 100 homes in Dallas were evacuated because of toxic smoke billowing from the building. Trains have also been suspended on the Upfield line and replaced by buses

* A relief centre was established in Broadmeadows

* Firefighters expected to battle the fire into next week

* A watch and act warning for the toxic smoke is still in place for Broadmeadows, Campbellfield, Fawkner, Glenroy, Jacana and Westmeadows on Friday afternoon.
