Jeannette Francis meets with a group of young women who have chosen an unusual life.

The call of the convent no longer attracts women like it used to.

 

The number of Australian women becoming nuns has been on the decline for almost 50 years.

Between 1997 and 2008, only 206 women became nuns, and almost a quarter of them resigned by 2009.

Jeannette Francis from the Feed has found  a group of young women who have chosen a very different life from the average 20-year-old.
