Senators were required to upload their paperwork to a new parliamentary Citizenship Register last week.

Now public, it’s already seen Labor senator Katy Gallagher facing new questions over her former UK citizenship.

The registrar was the Turnbull government’s attempt to bring the ongoing citizenship crisis to an end.

Section 44 of the Constitution says dual citizens are not allowed to serve in the Australian Parliament. Since Greens senator Scott Ludlam resigned in July, nine federal politicians have been forced to step down.

Now, senators has been required to provide their own birth details and those of their parents and grandparents.

If it looks like there’s a possible foreign citizenship, they also have to provide any documents that prove.

You can download the documents for any citizen here.

Below is our list of the senators who declared foreign links. Many who did not provide renunciation documents did provide some legal analysis or logical reason why they could not be a dual-citizen.
