Sardinian farmers have taken to the streets, dumping hundreds of litres of milk in protest against falling prices.

The farmers made the decision to pour the milk into the streets, claiming the price of 0.60 euros per litre was too low to live off.

Some producers claimed it's the lowest price per litre since the 1970s.

On the weekend, Italian football team Cagliari were locked in their training grounds thanks to the protesting  farmers, who blocked them in.

A video appeared to show Cagliari midfielder, Nicolo Barella, kicking the barrels of milk alongside the protesters.
