Wild winds and storms have lashed vast swathes of South Australia and forecasters warn there is more bad weather on the way.
Power has been cut to hundreds of properties across the state.
And emergency services have been kept busy responding to countless reports of trees downed by winds gusting beyond 100 kilometres an hour in some locations.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Matt Collopy said the severe weather swept across the state on Monday afternoon.
"We saw storms and wind gusts up to about 105 kilometres an hour," he told AAP on Tuesday.

"And there were a good dozen stations or more that experienced severe gusts above 90 kilometres an hour."
The winds were the worst in the Riverlands area on the NSW border.
The wild weather also sent the mercury plummeting by about 10 degrees.
"Yesterday's conditions would be a one in two or three-year event," Mr Collopy said.
"And there's more on the way. On Wednesday we'll have another strong front coming off the Southern Ocean and we're likely to see more wind gusts and possible severe weather.
"But it's likely to be more confined to the southern coastal fringes of South Australia."
Police said the weather kept emergency services working through the night.
From yesterday afternoon, police received more than 100 reports of trees and branches blocking roads, power lines down in city and rural areas, and traffic lights out.
