Wildcats re-sign NBL coach Trevor Gleeson

Perth Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson will be aiming to secure his third NBL title after re-signing with the club for another three years.

Perth Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson has re-signed with the club for the next three NBL seasons, and star import Casey Prather is considering following suit.

Gleeson has led the Wildcats to two titles in his three years in charge, and his new deal will run until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

"It's good to be able to keep building on what we've already put together here at the Wildcats," Gleeson said.

"We've got a culture of excellence and I'm excited to build on that over the next three years. It's an exciting time."

Gleeson is confident of retaining Prather, who is planning to return from the US later this month to work out with the Wildcats.

Centre Matt Knight and Jesse Wagstaff have already re-signed with Perth, while a new deal for skipper Damian Martin is set to be finalised soon.

Veteran Shawn Redhage, 35, is a chance to play on for another season.

Gleeson became the first coach to lead the Wildcats to multiple titles when he guided his team to victory over New Zealand in last season's grand final series.
