Winning the battle against child obesity

The Australian childhood obesity epidemic is showing signs of improving, according to a decade long Victorian study, Luke Waters reports.

A Deakin university study has found what has been described as the first good news regarding the epidemic, a three per cent decline in overweight or obese toddlers.

Awareness, media exposure and exercise programs are credited for the shift in behaviour among parents.
