A Melbourne woman will face court charged with dangerous driving causing death following a crash that killed a man who was in an emergency lane.

A Melbourne woman will face court charged over a crash that killed a man who was in an emergency lane.

Police allege the 27-year-old from Altona Meadows slammed into the man and his stationary car on the Western Ring Road on Saturday.

The man died at the scene in Sunshine West while another man, who was also outside the car, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
