A young woman charged over the daylight murder of a man whose body was found on a street in Sydney's inner west has indicated she will apply for bail.
Hannah Quinn, 23, did not face Newtown Local Court on Tuesday, four days after the 30-year-old victim collapsed in the middle of a Forest Lodge intersection.
Her lawyer Lauren MacDougall made no application for bail but asked magistrate Margaret Quinn for 20 to 40 minutes to make one in court, on her client's behalf, on Thursday.
Ms MacDougall told reporters outside court her client is "very distressed".
"I just want 24 hours to get the matter ready, I'm going to go and see her now ... and spend some more time with her," she said.
Quinn's mother, father and brother all attended court on Tuesday but declined to make any comment to media.

The alleged murder victim, identified by media as local hip-hop artist Jett McKee, was found with critical head wounds in the middle of Hereford Street and Minogue Crescent.
Witnesses said he was bleeding profusely as he staggered down a nearby street and then collapsed.
The injuries stemmed from a fight at a nearby house, police said.
A 28-year-old man, who handed himself in at Newtown Police Station on Monday night with Quinn, has been taken to hospital under police guard for treatment for a pre-existing facial injury but is expected to be charged once he's released.
