A 23-year-old woman is fighting for her life after a suspected drug overdose at a Sydney music festival.

The woman was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital late on Friday night after collapsing at the Field Day festival in Sydney's CBD.

A hospital spokeswoman told AAP the 23-year-old remained in a critical condition on Saturday morning.

The spokeswoman said several other revellers were admitted to St Vincent's after attending Field Day on what she described as a busy day for the hospital.

More than 200 people received medical treatment at the dance festival on New Year's Day.

Police charged 184 people with drug offences, including eight for drug supply.

It's alleged a 26-year-old woman was found with 100 ecstasy (MDMA) capsules, while a 19-year-old man was found with 81 ecstasy capsules.

Both were charged with supplying drugs and were granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on January 28.

Chief Inspector Stuart Bell said the number of arrests showed some people still thought they could get away with possessing and supplying drugs.

"We will continue to target drugs, alcohol-related crime and anti-social behaviour, particularly at music festivals," he said.

"We make no apologies for finding people who supply and possess drugs, and putting them before the courts."

At last year's festival 214 people were arrested for drug-related offences.
