Woman dead in Qld traffic light crash

A car has crashed into traffic lights on the Gold Coast, killing a 24-year-old woman who was a passenger in the vehicle.

A 24-year-old woman has died after the car she was a passenger in crashed into traffic lights on the Gold Coast.

The station wagon hit the lights on the Gold Coast Highway at Palm Beach on Sunday evening.

The woman was declared dead at the scene while the 29-year-old female driver was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious injuries.
