Woman dies in car crash near Ballina

A 35-year-old woman has died when a car and truck crashed near Ballina in northern NSW.

A woman has died after her car veered onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a truck in northern NSW, police say.

The accident occurred on Ballina Road in Alstonville at about 3.20pm on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old woman was rushed to Lismore Base Hospital where she died, but the truck driver escaped injury and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
