A woman has died in a scuba diving incident in Sydney's Botany Bay, police say.

A woman has died in a scuba diving incident in Sydney's Botany Bay.

The as-yet unidentified woman was pulled from the water near the Captain Cook monument at Kurnell, in southern Sydney, shortly before 10am (AEDT) on Monday.

"When police arrived ambulance paramedics were performing CPR. However the woman died at the scene," a NSW police spokeswoman said.
