Woman fends off tiger with soup ladle

A woman in a jungle region of northern Malaysia rescued her husband from a tiger attack by clubbing the animal on the head with a large wooden soup ladle.

A woman in a jungle region of northern Malaysia rescued her husband from a tiger attack by
clubbing the animal on the head with a large wooden soup ladle.

Police in Perak state say the tiger pounced on Tambun Gediu while he was hunting squirrels near his home in a settlement of the Jahai tribe.

His wife rushed out when she heard his screams, hit the tiger and it fled immediately. He escaped with bites and scratches.
