Woman found dead near Newcastle

Police are seeking help from the public to identify a woman with distinctive tattoos found dead on walking path near Newcastle.

A young woman with distinctive tattoos has been found dead near Newcastle.

A body was found by bushwalkers on a path at Redhead on Saturday afternoon although her death is not considered suspicious, police say.

The unidentified woman is described as aged between 15 to 25, thin build, fair skin with tattoos on her hips and left thigh featuring stars, a love heart, the letters K and P and an Egyptian eye.

Police are appealing to the public to help identify her.
