Woman has meningococcal disease

A 52-year-old woman from Adelaide has been hospitalised after contracting B strain meningococcal disease.

A South Australian woman has been hospitalised with meningococcal disease, health authorities say.

The 52-year-old from Adelaide is in a critical condition after contracting the B strain of the disease.

Four people who had contact with the patient before she was hospitalised have been directed to take clearance antibiotics.
