A woman has been charged with arson after a fire extensively damaged a house south of Brisbane on Thursday evening.

A woman will face court accused of lighting a fire that extensively damaged a house south of Brisbane.

The house on Nurdi Street, Woodridge, went up in flames about 6.30pm on Thursday.

A 31-year-old woman has been charged with arson and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday.
