An obsessed fan who confronted Hugh Jackman at his New York gym with an electric razor filled with pubic hair will avoid prison time after pleading guilty to stalking, harassment and burglary charges.
Katherine Thurston, 46, from Bakersfield, California, became obsessed with the Australian actor.
On April 13 last year she charged into Manhattan's West Village Gym with the electric razor and threw it at the startled Jackman.
A month earlier she confronted Jackman's wife, Deborra-Lee Furness and their daughter Ava, 7, on a New York street and said: "I'm going to marry your husband".
Thurston, who has a history of mental illness, spent six months behind bars after her arrest and on Monday was sentenced to time served and five years probation.

Thurston was also ordered to stay away from Jackman and his family for eight years and seek mental health treatment.
"Even just contacting any of these people is a crime in itself," Justice Daniel Conviser told Thurston, according to the New York Daily News.
The court heard Thurston would fly back to California on Tuesday.
