Woman struck by bus in Sydney 'critical'

A 69-year-old woman remains in critical condition after being struck by a bus as she waited at a stop in Sydney's inner west.

An elderly woman is in a critical condition after being hit by a bus in Sydney's inner-west.

Emergency services were called to New Canterbury Road, Dulwich Hill, on Tuesday evening, after reports a woman waiting at a stop fell forward before going underneath an oncoming bus.

She was treated at the scene by NSW paramedics for serious leg injuries before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

The bus driver, a 59-year-old man, was released after mandatory testing.
