Woman's body found in Sydney Harbour

A woman's body has been found floating in Sydney Harbour near Balmain East, but police say the death does not seem suspicious.

The body of a woman has been found floating in Sydney Harbour.

Police were called to Illoura Reserve in Balmain East, just after 6.30am after a passerby saw the body in the water.

The woman, who is yet to be formally identified, is believed to be aged in her mid-40s.

Police said the death was not deemed suspicious.

An autopsy will be conducted and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
