Police are investigating after a woman's body was found washed up on Tamarama Beach, south of Bondi.
Paramedics were called to the scene at 6.25am (AEDT) on Friday after the woman was found on the beach and determined that she had died.
The body was handed over to the police who are now investigating the incident.
News Corp reports the body was found by a morning walker.
Police believe the woman was in her 50s.
"Investigators continue to make inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the woman's death," they said in a statement.
