Former MP Clive Palmer has not given up on his dream of building a replica of the Titanic, revealing work has resumed on the halted project.
The businessman announced plans to build Titanic II in 2012, but construction was suspended in 2015 due to financial constraints.
Mr Palmer has announced in London work has recommenced on the ship by his company Blue Star Line, which is intended to repeat the Southampton to New York voyage of its doomed original.
The ship will have the same interiors and layout as the original vessel, but modern technology and safety procedures.
Mr Palmer believes the replica will generate unprecedented international exposure and public interest.

"In 1912 the Titanic was the ship of dreams. For over a century Titanic's legend has been powered by mystery, intrigue and respect for all she stood for," he said in a statement on Thursday, Australian time.
"Millions have dreamt of sailing on her, seeing her in port and experiencing her unique majesty. Titanic ll will be the ship where those dreams come true."
Titanic II was originally slated to make its maiden voyage in 2016, after construction was completed in China.
