World No.1 Lydia Ko is lamenting her lukewarm putter.
But otherwise, Ko is content with a laborious two-under-par opening round on Thursday at the Australian Open.
The New Zealander said she struck the ball well off the tee and her iron play was slick enough - but her putting let the round down.
"Just the putts didn't drop," Ko said.
"When you're like that, I think I almost was grinding and grinding and grinding.
"But it was good to see a putt drop on the final hole and, hopefully, that will give me good momentum going into tomorrow."
Ko carded birdies at her last hole and three others, but also recorded two bogeys in placid morning conditions at Royal Adelaide.
"It was perfect weather," she said.
"I'm not complaining. It's my first start back since the CME (Tour Championship last November).
"So it has been a while but I think there were a lot of positives.
"Hopefully, a few more putts drop throughout the week and go from there. I think the low scores are out there."
