Kane Evans has made a candid reflection on his NRL club debut for Parramatta following the season-opening loss to Penrith.

Kane Evans has admitted to being overwhelmed by his first NRL game for Parramatta, describing his Eels debut as the worst way to start at a new club.

Evans came off the bench in the Eels' season-opening loss to Penrith following a move from the Sydney Roosters over the off-season.

"I think the build-up got to me," Evans said on Thursday.
