Sydney are sweating on the fitness of Aliir Aliir after the in-form defender suffered a knee injury in the Swans' AFL preliminary final romp over Geelong.
Aliir joins Jarrad McVeigh (calf) and Callum Mills (hamstring) as key injury concerns before the grand final.
On a Friday night when very little went wrong for John Longmire's dominant team, Aliir left the game at quarter-time after he hyper-extended his right knee.
The 22-year-old landed awkwardly in a marking contest with Lincoln McCarthy and didn't return to the game his side won by 37 points.
But Sydney medical staff strapped the joint in the second term and appeared set to send him back on the field before the decision was made to put him on ice.
Aliir's injury caps an eventful week for the former Sudanese refugee.
In just his 13th AFL game, he was playing in a preliminary final just days after being mentioned by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in his speech to the United Nations.
Kurt Tippett (fractured jaw) and Gary Rohan (knee) passed late fitness tests to play against the Cats, but McVeigh did not.
However, the co-captain told a pre-match function he missed out on playing by only a day or two.
Mills injured his hamstring against the Giants and was ruled out of the preliminary final mid-week. But the newly crowned AFL Rising Star will be considered for the grand final.
Luke Parker will also be monitored after he limped from the field with a knee injury in the third quarter.
However, he had his left knee strapped and was able to play out the game.
