WTO negotations in need of overhaul: Robb

The WTO deal to abolish agricultural export subsidies is great but world trade negotiations still need an overhaul, Andrew Robb says.

Trade Minister Andrew Robb believes World Trade Organisation negotiations are still in need of an overhaul despite the "historic" deal to abolish agricultural export subsidies.

The agriculture deal is only one part of the bigger Doha trade reform agenda.

"Yes, we got an outcome this time but it's one of many issues that should have been resolved years and years ago," Mr Robb told ABC radio on Monday.
