Australia's Melissa Wu and Taneka Kovchenko claimed fifth in the women's 10m synchro as China dominated the third day of the diving world championships in Hungary.
Wu and Kovchenko were the third-top qualifiers for Sunday's final in Budapest, with all five of their preliminary dives scored in the top five of a 16-strong field.
After starting the final strongly to sit in equal-fourth after two dives, the Australians faltered when their third dive was scored ninth highest to drop to seventh position.
They improved on their last two dives to finish fifth on 308.1 points - 44.46 points behind Chinese winners Ren Qian and Si Yajie.
North Korea's Kim Mi-rae and Kim Kuk-hyang were second, while Pandelela Rinong Pamg and Cheong Jun Hoong of Malaysia claimed the bronze.
Meanwhile, China's Peng Jianfeng won gold in the men's 1m springboard final ahead of teammate He Chao.
Sunday's three-medal haul followed a tough previous day for China's divers, who failed to make the podium when Australia's Maddison Keeney claimed gold in the 1m springboard before missing out on gold in men's 3m springboard synchro.
