Melbourne midfielder Angus Brayshaw will play his first AFL game since round five on Sunday after overcoming lingering concussion symptoms.

The Demons have taken a conservative approach with the No.3 pick at the 2014 draft, but he has been given the green light to come into the side to face St Kilda at Etihad Stadium at the expense of Billy Stretch.

The Saints, who are looking to extend a 13-game winning streak against Melbourne, brought in Jack Billings and Jack Sinclair, with Luke Delaney (omitted) and Shane Savage (concussion) departing the side that squeezed past Essendon last week.

In Sunday's early game at the MCG, Carlton made four changes ahead of their clash against West Coast.

Andrejs Everitt (omitted), Levi Casboult (suspension), Andrew Walker (knee) and Dale Thomas (calf) are all out, replaced by Kristian Jaksch, Nick Graham, Dylan Buckley and Charlie Curnow.

Eagles coach Adam Simpson made one change, dropping high-profile recruit Lewis Jetta for the third time this season. Another off-season recruit, former Lion Jack Redden, has earned a recall.

In the last game of round 17 at the Gabba, Brisbane brought in Tom Cutler for an ill Daniel Merrett, while Greater Western Sydney handed an AFL debut to Harrison Himmelberg and recalled Sam Reid.

Lachie Whitfield (illness) and Rhys Palmer (dropped) depart the side upset by Collingwood.
