Young man's skull impaled at NSW worksite

A 19-year-old male is being kept stable on a Sydney worksite as emergency crews work to remove a 1m piece of steel from his skull.

A young man has been impaled in the head with a one-metre long piece of steel at a Sydney worksite.

The man, 19, was working on Friday morning at the Lindfield site, on Sydney's north shore, when the incident occurred.

"During the process, a piece of steel approximately one metre long has been lodged in his skull," a NSW Ambulance spokesman said.
