The Sydney Opera House has hosted an orchestra consisting entirely of musicians who auditioned via video-postings on YouTube.
Two years after the first-ever Youtube Symphony Orchestra formed at New York's Carnegie Hall, the world's most popular video-sharing website decided to do it all again, only bigger, and this time in Sydney.
Over 3,000 people applied for a spot in the orchestra by posting videos of their repertoire on YouTube.
Project Manager Ed Sanders says Australia has always been a leader in culture and technology.
"We also wanted to see as part of this process of real inclusion and getting people from around the world to participate, take it to the other side of the world and see if we can have more people come to the party," he told SBS.
After months of hype, the symphony had less than a week to prepare for the final show, which was streamed live on Youtube and projected onto the Opera House itself.
Among the participants were four Australians, including cellist Mathisha Panagoda.
