Australian women's fashion label Zimmermann has been honoured with the Australian Fashion Laureate award at Australian Fashion week.
The label, known for its sophisticated femininity and delicate original prints, was founded by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann in 1991.
Four other categories were also recognised on Wednesday night.
They included Scanlan and Theodore in the retailer category, Dion Lee for women's wear and Arthur Galan for menswear. Emerging designer went to Christopher Esber.
The peer-voted Australian Fashion Laureate celebrates professionals whose careers have promoted the Australian fashion industry.
"We are incredibly proud to have honoured five amazing and unique recipients this evening," said Elle Turner, Director of Strategy and Brand at IMG Fashion.
"All of tonight's honorees are wonderful examples of the strength of the Australian fashion industry."
The Australian Fashion Laureate has previously recognised stalwarts including Akira Isogawa, Carla Zampatti, Simon Lock, Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson, Collette Dinnigan and Jenny Kee.
