Midfielder Dayne Zorko has claimed successive Merrett-Murray medals after being named Brisbane's best player for the 2016 AFL season.

Zorko won the club champion vote tally with 122 votes, 12 clear of second-placed Mitch Robinson (110).

It's the second year running Zorko has topped the tally, although he shared the prize with Robinson, Stefan Martin and Dayne Beams in a four-way tie at last year's awards night.

The 27-year-old joins Jason Akermanis, Joel Patfull and Lions captain Tom Rockliff as two-time winners of the annual club prize.

Ruckman Martin came third in the vote count with 106 votes.
