Lives and homes are no longer in danger from a bushfire in Perth's southeast after firefighters brought the blaze under control.

A Watch and Act alert has been downgraded to an Advice for parts of Harrisdale in the City of Armadale.

The bushfire, which has burnt one hectare, is contained and stationary, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services says.

Some roads remain closed and drivers have been warned to avoid the area, slow down and drive carefully due to smoke.
