Fever wallop Thunderbirds in netball

West Coast Fever have thrashed the Adelaide Thunderbirds by 12 goals in round 10 of the trans-Tasman netball league.

West Coast Fever have ended their two-game losing streak with a 63-51 trans-Tasman netball league win over the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

Fever's exceptional defence and shooter Caitlin Bassett's 93 per cent accuracy rate meant the round-10 clash in Adelaide on Sunday was a foregone conclusion from the start.

Adelaide kept throwing the ball away, fed by weak goal attack Stephanie Puopolo's performance, who remained below 70 per cent until she was replaced in the third quarter.

The Thunderbirds lifted their game after Christina Bryce went on as shooter and Erin Bell switched to goal attack, but it was too little, too late to dent Fever's strong lead.

Fever play the NSW Swifts in Newcastle next Saturday while the Thunderbirds face Central Pulse in New Zealand on Sunday.
