A producer has used convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby's vocals in a summer song called 'Palm Trees'.
The convicted drug smuggler posted the song on her Instagram but it is unclear if she is pursuing a career in music.
Corby features in the remixed tune less than a year after she returned to Australia following a 12-year stint in Bali's Kerobokan prison. She was convicted of smuggling marijuana in 2004.
Music producer Naz Zeleny wrote and produced the single, and used Corby's vocals for the track.
"So it's taken me a little while to upload it but this is mine and @schapelle.corby's song Palm Tree's (sic)," Zeleny posted back in early December.
"I wrote this in Cairns for a bit of a laugh and then took it into the studio to produce it and lay down our vocals. So much fun."
Corby reposted the single on Monday night and it had been viewed more than 44,000 times.
Social media users were divided over the tune with some followers enjoying her debut single.
"Our new jam whenever we're in QLD", one Instagram follower wrote.
"Love it Schapelle, the first banger of 2018," another user wrote.
While other listeners were not impressed with the remix.
Corby left Bali last month, 12 years after she was convicted of smuggling more than four kilograms of marijuana into Bali in a boogie board bag.
She was sentenced to 20 years in jail but was granted clemency after just over nine years in Bali's Kerobokan jail.
Corby, who has always maintained her innocence, served her parole period on the tourist island before returning to Australia amid a huge media interest.
