NSW Police urge public to avoid Bondi Beach amid reports of shots being fired

NSW Police are urging members of the public to avoid Bondi Beach amid reports of multiple shots being fired.

The police issued an alert on Sunday evening saying it was responding to a developing incident and urging the public not to go near the area.

Video seen by SBS News shows witnesses reporting shots being fired.

"Anyone at the scene should take shelter," NSW Police said on X.

"We are still asking people in the area to take shelter until we can determine what is happening."
