France never looked like they needed to get out of second gear, with captain Kylian Mbappé unfazed after seeing a first-half penalty saved.
The star forward broke the deadlock on the hour mark, curling a superb finish into the corner from just inside the box.
Ousmane Dembélé doubled the advantage six minutes later with a low drive.
Les Bleus have looked every bit the tournament favourites and will now face either Spain or Belgium in the semi-finals.
