Welcome to our live budget blog!
Good morning, and welcome to our live blog on the 2021-22 Federal Budget.

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg is expected to deliver a big spending budget as Australia continues to recover from the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Job creation is expected to take focus, as will more spending on women, childcare, aged care, disability and mental health, as well as tax offsets for low and middle-income earners.

And of course, everyone will be awaiting more details about when international borders will reopen - although the Treasurer has already indicated this won’t be until at least next year.

Follow along as we bring you breaking updates and tidbits on the budget from now until tonight.
