Prime Minister Scott Morrison has congratulated Gladys Berejiklian and the NSW Liberal party for their "courageous" win in the state election.
"So to Gladys and Dominic and all of the team here in NSW, thank you for the great government you've been delivering to the people in NSW and thank you for the great advertisement you've been for the Liberal Party," he told the Liberal event in Sydney.
The coalition won a third term on Saturday but it's not yet known if they will be able to form a majority government.
"How good is Gladys Berejiklian and how good is the Liberal Party here in NSW," Mr Morrison told the party faithful gathered at a CBD hotel.
The federal Liberal leader said in two months' time they'd be "back here celebrating another Liberal-National government".
The federal election is expected to be held in May.
Ms Berejiklian said she'd back the federal party when the time came.
"In a few months, our party will be in a battle as well, and I want to tell the Prime Minister Scott Morrison ... we will do everything we can to support you and your government's re-election," the premier told the crowd.
