Former Labor cabinet minister Ed Husic has told SBS News he believes the government should be pushing for Palestinian statehood by June.


The former industry and science minister has criticised the way factional politics has resulted in his removal from the frontbench. But he says as a backbencher, he will now have the chance to speak more freely on issues.
