The Federal Government is set to unveil an $11.3 billion housing package as part of the upcoming budget.

The plans will focus on achieving the 1.2 million new homes target set by the government for the end of the decade.

The government also plans to invest $1 billion towards the development of crisis and transitional accommodation housing for families fleeing domestic violence.

A Federal Court has ruled to extend a ban imposed on social media giant X that says it must remove all videos of an Orthodox Christian bishop being stabbed from its platform.

The eSafety Commissioner sent a notice to the company to remove the content of the stabbing, with X owner Elon Musk accusing the federal government of censorship.

X is the only social media company fighting against the order, with Meta immediately taking down all videos related to the attack.

Another three people have been charged over the incidents that took place outside a church in Wakeley on April 30.

New South Wales Police say a 24-year-old man, a 28-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man have all been arrested for taking part in the riots outside The Good Shepherd Church.

It brings the number of people who are facing charges to fifteen, with police continuing the search.

It comes after the lethal stabbing of an Orthodox Priest inside the church by a 16-year-old boy that instigated the violent outburst.

The White House has reiterated the US's intent to pause its weapon supply towards Israel if a ground incursion on Rafah is carried through.

A shipment of bombs meant for Israel has been delayed due to concerns they would be used to cause harm on civilians.

It comes after statements from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu that his forces would push forward with the operation in Gaza's south, even if they need to do it alone.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says the US continues to support Israel in its fight against Hamas.

"The President outlined what has been our policy on Rafah, that his support for Israel's defense is ironclad, and — and Israel has every right to go after Hamas and those responsible for October 7th massacres. What we do not support is a major ground operation in Rafah, a city now sheltering over 1 million people, since we believe there are better alternative ways to go after Hamas."

Meanwhile, Australia has supported Palestine's United Nations membership in a vote that overwhelmingly succeeded.

The non-binding resolution called upon the UN Security Council to reconsider the issue after the US vetoed a similar resolution.

Palestine is pushing to be elevated to full UN membership from its current non-member observer state as war rages in the Gaza Strip and the US and allies call for a two-state solution to the decades-old conflict with Israel.

Palestine's representative in Australia said supporting the vote would have added to Australia's credibility on the international stage and was in line with its policy to eventually recognise statehood.

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan says all women in the community deserve to be treated with respect and decency.

It comes following a series of sexist incidents at schools across the state.

Two male students were suspended from Yarra Valley Grammar last Monday after the revelation of a list that categorised the girls at the school based on their looks, with the final category titled 'unrapeable'.

Ms Allan says such behaviour is unacceptable.

"Every young girl, every young woman, deserves the right to go to school, to sit in the classroom, to be in the school grounds, they deserve the right to do that safely and with respect from their fellow students. Just as every woman in our community deserves the right to go to work, to be in their home, to move around their community safely and with respect."

Leverkusen have extended their unbeaten run to 49 games, breaking a record held by Portuguese side Benfica for almost 60 years.

The German team were down 2-nil to AS Roma but managed to equalise in the dying minutes of the game, sealing their spot in the Europa League final where they will meet fellow Italians Atalanta.

In Athens, local side Olympiacos have also made history after going through to a first-ever European tournament final in their 99-year history.

The Greeks beat Aston Villa 2-nil on the night and 6-2 on aggregate, to set up a Conference League Final against Fiorentina.

Thousands of fans took to the streets across the country to celebrate their club's success.

"It is important for a Greek team to reach the final of a European championship, and even more so if you are from Piraeus and it is the team of your neighbourhood."
