At least 64 people have been killed in more than 90 forest fires raging in Chile, where a state of emergency has been called by President Gabriel Boric.
He says the death toll is expected to grow "significantly".
The wildfires began several days ago and are threatening the outer edges of two coastal cities popular with tourists, Viña del Mar and Valparaíso.
Authorities have introduced a 9pm curfew in the hardest-hit areas and have sent the military to help.
Hundreds of people have also been reported missing and so far more than 1,000 homes have been damaged.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says his government is investigating allegations some employees of the United Nations' Palestinian refugee agency took part in Hamas' attacks in Israel on October 7.
Australia is one of several countries that suspended funding to the aid agency last month, along with allies such as the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
The UN has dismissed nine of the 12 employees accused of taking part in the attacks in Israel.
Two others are reported to be dead and one is still working for the UN.
Mr Albanese has told the ABC he wants to ensure the government knows the exact use of any money provided to the agency.
"It's an organisation that has had bipartisan support. It has been funded by Australia for a long period of time and funded by our like-minded allies as well. But we want to make sure that the organisation has every single dollar going to the purpose for which it is given."

Relief from the heat is forecast to arrive in the south-east of the country, with southerly winds and below-average temperatures expected for Melbourne and Adelaide.
Areas of Adelaide and Sydney reached 40C over the weekend and some regional cities exceeded that mark, as the southeast of the country was hit by sweltering heat.
Hot air from central Australia has also raised temperatures in regional New South Wales and South Australia, where temperatures in some places hit 44C.

Police officers taking part in a Pride march in Melbourne have been hit with paint bombs and suffered abuse.
About 100 members of Victoria Police, including some of their children, marched on Sunday as part of the Midsumma Pride festival in the seaside suburb of St Kilda.
Victoria Police say they were confronted by up to 50 protesters shortly after the march began.
Chief Commissioner Shane Patton was in the parade, and told Channel 9 he believes the melee was premeditated.
"Their conduct, I have nothing but contempt for it. Yes, someone is in a pig's head, this was a next level - next level - elevation. It was clear, their intent was clear. It was pre-planned."

A major manhunt continues for a man who stabbed an elderly woman to death in a shopping centre car park near Brisbane this weekend.
The 70-year-old had finished grocery shopping with her granddaughter at Redbank Plains near Ipswich when she was stabbed in the chest by a man in the centre's underground car park.
She died at the scene a short time later after attempts to revive her failed.
The six-year-old girl was unharmed.
Police believe the attack was an attempt to rob the woman.
Queensland Premier Steven Miles says the police search for the perpetrator continues.
"It is an abhorrent crime, a terribly violent crime. A crime committed, it sounds like in front of a very young relative of the victim. I know our police are working just as hard as they can to catch to catch this perpetrator. And no doubt, no doubt the courts will take this crime as seriously as I do."

In cricket, Australia has introduced two more international debutants in Jake Fraser-McGurk and Will Sutherland as they won their second ODI against the West Indies, securing a series victory.
West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss ahead of Sunday's second match at the SCG, but the hosts closed out the series with an 83-run victory, following their eight-wicket triumph in Melbourne on Friday.
Star paceman Josh Hazlewood came in for his first ODI since last year's triumphant World Cup campaign after joining the squad on Saturday.
Hazlewood and all-rounder Sutherland replaced fast bowler Lance Morris and MCG player-of-the-match Xavier Bartlett, who were rested after the tight turnaround from their ODI debuts.
