Perinatal depression can happen at any time during pregnancy and after a baby is born, and can affect both men and women.


The PANDA helpline, offering support for people struggling with perinatal depression and anxiety, is available on 1300 726 306 on weekdays between 9am and 7.30pm eastern time.

Listeners seeking mental health support can contact Lifeline 24 hours a day online and on 13 11 14.

Other services include the Suicide Call Back Service, which can be reached on 1300 659 467, and Beyond Blue, on 1300 224 636.
