Protesters have gathered outside the Israeli embassy in Canberra, calling on Israel to issue a public apology and compensation for the deaths of aid workers in Gaza, including Australian Zomi Frankcom.
Ms Frankcom's aid convoy was targeted by air strikes in April 2024 while working with colleagues to deliver food and basic supplies to the Gaza Strip.
Last month August, the Israeli Government declined to proceed with a criminal investigation into the deaths, finding there was no criminal misconduct.
There have been calls for Israeli ambassador to Australia Hillel Newman to be ejected from the country over the issue, which rally organiser Neve O’Connor says is one of protesters' demands.

Social media law reforms are being introduced to parliament today, including a measure to force digital platforms to offer users an opportunity to opt-out of algorithms.
Communications Minister Anika Wells says if companies including Meta, Google and TikTok do not give users the option to turn off algorithms, they should face penalties.
The draft bill is being criticised for a lack of detail but the government says it will seek expert advice.
Independent MP Zali Steggall supports the move, rejecting criticism that it will hurt businesses.
"Basically, businesses are worried they can't prey on people for their products through an algorithm people aren't asking to see, right. So I think let's get real - the ultimate choice from a consumer point of view is people decide they can sign in or can opt-in to these products. Businesses have many means to get to consumers and customers."

The Albanese Government's proposed Digital Code of Conduct, which it says will help protect vulnerable social media users, including children, is also under scrutiny.
If the draft bill passes parliament when it is introduced this week, it would also provide the e-Safety Commissioner a mechanism to identify harmful content, including misinformation.
Liberal MP and Manager of Opposition Business, Dan Tehan, says his party needs more information.
"The devil is always in the detail and the last thing we want to see is the so-called Alborithm which decides what is the truth and what isn't the truth on the internet. And what we need to see is transparency about what the government is doing and that is what will determine which way we go on this legislation."

A report tracking the health and wellbeing of survivors of the Stolen Generations and their descendents, has found the group faces significant challenges compared with other Indigenous Australians of the same age.
The report from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare found almost half of Indigenous Australians were Stolen Generations descendants in 2022-2023.
Survivors of the scheme were almost three times as likely to have severe or profound disability and descendants were 1.3 times more likely to report high psychological distress.
The Institute reports many Stolen Generations survivors who are over 50 live with disability or long‑term health conditions, experience psychological distress, face financial stress and other health concerns.
