The World Health Organisation has declared the current Ebola outbreak a global health emergency of international concern but it does not meet the criteria of a pandemic emergency.

Cases have been detected in Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo involving what authorities say is the Bundibugyo strain.

The U-N health agency says 80 suspected deaths, eight laboratory-confirmed cases and 246 suspected cases have been reported in DRC's Ituri province.

Two laboratory confirmed cases with no apparent link to each other have been reported in Kampala, Uganda.

Uganda Resident Naome Kayondo says there needs to be more education about how to prevent the spread of the disease.

"I would like the government to one quickly spread awareness about Ebola and how it is spread, to break down this information even for the layest of people to under but also start to institute measures to avoid the spread of Ebola in Kampala and Uganda as a whole so that there is a feeling of safeness and security against this disease of Ebola."

Authorities claim those who were injured were mostly near the entrance to a Moscow oil refinery.

The city's mayor Sergei Sobyanin says the refinery's plant technology was not damaged.

It comes after at least 24 people were killed after a Russian missile attack on a residential apartment building in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Ukrainian air forces had earlier claimed it was Russia’s biggest barrage on the country's full-scale invasion.

The final moments of the Celtic vs Hearts game descended into chaos, as home fans invaded the Celtic Park pitch eight minutes into stoppage time.

Celtic snatched the Scottish Premiership title from Hearts in the dying minutes of the season, with two late goals earning the Glagow side a 3-1 win and their 14th title in 15 years.

Celtic fans stormed the pitch before the final whistle had sounded, reportedly attacking and abusing players from the Edinburgh visitors’ side.

Socceroos World Cup hopeful Cam Devlin and his Hearts teammates had to be hurried from the pitch and into the tunnel, leaving the stadium still dressed in their kit.

It’s been labelled a “shameful” day for Scottish football, but these Celtic fans didn’t seem to mind a bit.

"It's just the best, the best ending. ** FANS SHOUTING INCOHERENTLY** Elated. This has been a long time coming, what a horrible season."
