The Premier of Victoria, Jacinta Allan, says she will not step down from her job with just four months until the state election.
Powerful members of the Victorian Labor Party held a meeting on Sunday night to talk about Labor's chances at the election.
People at the meeting told The Age newspaper that Jacinta Allan does not have the support of the party.
At a party meeting today, she is expected to be offered a chance to stand down.
Jacinta Allan has told supporters she has no plans to quit.

Hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to leave their homes in France and Spain as wildfires burn through the region.
Around 220,000 people have left their homes in France and more than 115,000 have left in Spain.
Firefighters say there is a large fire cloud that is making wind and lightning, which can cause more fires.
This police captain in France says officers are checking on people in a coastal town.
"The goal of checking all the entry points of a house is, first of all, to confirm there are no signs of a break-in. We also knock on doors to verify that the evacuation went smoothly and that no one—such as someone with health issues who was unable to leave on their own—has been left behind."

Police in Germany have killed a man accused of driving a van into people at the Berlin Gay Pride festival which killed one woman and injured 29 other people.
Police say they shot dead the 21-year-old man after he ran towards officers with a knife.
The man was a German citizen who police say had known ties to extremism.
This woman says she heard the gunshots.
"We thought, 'What kind of shootout is this?'. We had no idea it was connected to the previous night's attack in Berlin's Mitte district."
