The family-run business has recently invested $15 million into a new factory, aimed at tripling the company's production from 700 tonnes to 2000 tonnes annually.
Despite the increased automation, the company's 600-strong workforce will grow due to a demand for more chocolate.
The increased capacity will help meet rising demand and allow Haigh’s open more stores around Australia.
Haigh's is also considering exporting its much-loved chocolates to overseas markets.
The famous South Australian brand was founded by Alfred Haigh in 1915 and is currently in the hands of the fourth generation of Haighs.
