Australian company ‘Tinybeans’ is now not-so-tiny, passing 2.5million users.

The closed social media platform allows parents to share photos and memories of their children privately with family and friends.

"It's a place for parents to keep a record of their kids’ lives, and share it with the people who really matter," Tinybeans founder and head of marketing, Sarah-Jane Kurtini told SBS.

Small Business Secrets first met Tinybeans two years ago, after the start-up listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

The business raised $6.5 million when it went public.

The social media platform for kids has also booked high profile advertisers including the Walt Disney company, Walmart and General Motors.

Tinybeans has since posted 63% YOY growth for 2018.

"We do know that a lot of celebrities use Tinybeans ... it's for people who really, really value their privacy," Ms. Kurtini said.

"It's not flooding your [Facebook] feed every day and it's being respectful of your kid's privacy as well."
